Skills for Employment

A4e is the largest UK provider of New Deal services on behalf of Jobcentre Plus, helping thousands of people return to work every month across the UK, France, Germany and Israel. We work with unemployed people, providing them with training that enables them to gain the skills and confidence they need to seek employment and make a successful return to work.

We are committed to:

building a demand-led employment system, so that more people in Scotland are equipped with the skills that they need for employment
working closely with employers to ensure that we understand their recruitment and workforce development needs
providing opportunities for unemployed people who possess the right skills for the right job
broader choice in training, releasing resources to the front line
spreading best practice while promoting local flexibility

We will build and develop our links with the public, private and third sector to build an open market place that allows employers choice and encourages them to invest in their workforce. We believe that only through effective partnership working can all sectors respond to the challenge of driving forward social change.
