10 October 2007A4e Scotland achieves record success for getting offenders into employment on immediate releaseA new pilot involving a unique partnership between A4e Scotland, Alfred McAlpine and the Open Estates division of the Scottish Prison Service, has been a resounding success, breaking records for placing ex-offenders into work on immediate release from prison. The average is 25% into employment from prison training schemes but this recent pilot has ensured a huge 50% have made the leap into jobs, with promise of still further success. More importantly, the reduction of re-offending once a person is in employment and the improvements to their lives and those dependent on them, is well documented.Click here to read more (Adobe Acrobat Format)
